UNIQUE CURRICULUM
Our curriculum is based on over 40 years of industry experience.
At its onset, the Crē•8 Music Academy curriculum was 40 years in the making. The areas of focus across the courses find their base in 40 years of legendary songs recorded at Westlake Recording Studios. The most important, timeless, guarded secrets of professional record producers were consolidated and merged with modern production techniques.
At present, Crē•8 Music Academy has the unique ability to alter and adjust its curriculum based on which production techniques are being used in successful records at Westlake Recording Studios. We are always adding, subtracting and adapting techniques as they become incorporated into successful songs. Other music production schools use a static curriculum and source their information from books. Our source material is Westlake, which makes our courses living, breathing and adaptable to past, proven techniques and new trends alike.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Musicians should be provided with the skills they need to create professional, marketable songs without wasting time, energy and money. What makes Crē•8 Music Academy better than other music productions schools? Our courses are designed to reflect how hit songs at Westlake Recording Studios are produced: with direct information and zero redundancy. Other music production schools attempt to teach what we execute every day.
Crē•8 Music Academy takes care of our alumni. Our student-producers are welcomed back to campus any time after graduation so they can work towards perfecting their craft in our lab and studio. Also, our courses are manageably priced so our grads can have the headspace to be creative while they work towards monetizing their music — not be buried in debt.
What are the risks of attending a music production school whose high tuition costs require federal financial aid and entering into debt? Thirty percent of people who owe payments on student debt are more than 90 days past due. Thirty-five percent of those under the age of 30 are more than 90 days past due (more than one-in-three borrowers). The burden of student loans and higher delinquencies may affect borrowers’ access to other types of credit (home, auto or small business loans) [1]. One-in-four millennials with $30,000 in debt expect to take 20+ years to pay it off [2]. A new study finds that crushing amounts of student loan debt will ruin key life milestones (marriage, children and homeownership) [3].
Our school simulates a professional environment. Managing deadlines, multi-tasking, troubleshooting, problem-solving and time management are equally important as the ability to create modern, intriguing music. Learn to work as a music professional and create hit songs from a GRAMMY nominee at a legendary recording studio.

Come here to learn how to make a song that people want to hear. Not to learn tips and tricks unfiltered from the internet, but to cultivate the mind of a record producer.
My music production is 10x better after attending Crē•8. I have a process now. I can develop my ideas clearly and get consistent, professional results.
“I still have the same tastes as when I started, but my approach to creating and mixing a song — I’ve definitely gone up a level.”
“The quantity and quality of what I learned is amazing…like getting a “scientific approach” to frequencies, timbres and rhythms that lets you bend, add or subtract them to your taste.”
“Activ•8 put all the pieces together into a systematic step-by-step approach that I could tailor to my specific goals. I only wish I had been able to take this course years ago.”
“Initi•8 shed light on things that were mental roadblocks in the past. Having the structure of hit songs laid out piece-by-piece is what I needed to understand other songs, as well as my own productions.”
“Within the first few classes, I realized I’d been making things monumentally harder on myself by not seeking the guidance of an experienced practitioner of this craft. Now I can do things with confidence, knowing I’m doing it right. I can’t put a price on that.”
“I can now immediately analyze and pinpoint musical arrangement, topline and why the song did or didn’t achieve the success the artist/producer wanted.”
“After the first course, it was just mind blowing. This is everything that you essentially need to know to be able to progress and make record breaking songs.”
